Description
The saxophone was invented in 1840 by the Belgian instrument maker Adolphe Sax. The sax is usually made of brass, but it is actually a woodwind instrument due to the single reed mouthpiece. Adolphe Sax set out to create a set of instruments that would close the gap between woodwind and brass instruments so he came up with saxophone that compliments both. He created the sax to be the most powerful and vocal of the woodwinds and the most adaptive of the brass. That being said Jupiter’s CTL-880 model is part of the CXL Concert Series Alto saxophones The CTS-880 has a silver-plated brass body with gold-plated keys with an engraved bell giving it a classy look.
