Description
Evidence shows the first guitars in history show up around 1850 B.C. in clay plaques that show figures playing instruments that resemble guitars. During the middle ages guitars with 3,4, and 5 strings co-existed. Credit is given to the Europeans for developing the early acoustic guitars but today s steel string acoustics were created in America by European Emigrants. Several of the Europeans emigrants who came to America were instrument makers and some specialized in steel string instruments. From there the modern 6 string version developed and are mostly used in Jazz and Folk music.
Acoustic Guitars have a long and interesting history and Martin keeps the tradition alive with their D-35 Standard Series Acoustic Guitar. This guitar is a beauty! It has an incredible bass repsonse and is the go to guitar for bluegrass and folk musicians.
