Description
(1988)
Daugherty is one of the most popular and most performed composers by bassoonists today. Bounce was his first work for bassoon and features one of Daugherty’s compositional signatures – two like instruments, spaced well apart from each other, trading contrapuntal material. Bounce alternates magically between slow, expressive “soulful” sections and rhythmic, driving “funky” sections. Duration – ca. 8:30
