Description
The sound of a 12-string is unmistakable, but 12 strings on a neck can be a burden for some players. There is a lot of tension and the nut width is generally wider. We created the Alvarez 8-string Grand Auditorium to bring you all the 12-string shimmer you desire with less tension and a standard width neck and nut.
We double up on the G (3rd) and D (4th) strings, and it will amaze you how much 12-string shimmer you can get just from adding these two octaves. It also makes this guitar great fun for musical exploration, and the octave tones when fingerpicking add extra dimension and charm.
The AG60ce 8-string Grand Auditorium has an open and resonant voicing with instant response. This is a beautifully crafted guitar with a flawless deep shine, thin poly Shadowburst finish, and North American Sitka spruce top. This cutaway guitar allows for easy access up the neck and is fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze. The StagePro Bronze is a small-footprint side-mounted EQ incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. This is a low-profile unit with a large backlit tuner, volume, bass and treble controls and phase. The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.
