Description
The first attempts at a metronome date all the way back to 810-887. Galileo Galilee then came up with the first pendulum in the 16th or 17th centuries. Stemming from Galileo’s work Etienne Loulie was the first person to successfully use an adjustable pendulum in the creation of the first mechanical metronome in 1969. It however, did not produce any sound or include an escapement to keep the pendulum in motion. Dietriech Nikolaus Winkel invented something more familiar to what we use today called a mechanical musical chronometer but Johann Maelzel added a scale and called it the metronome. Today musicians use metronomes to help them keep a steady tempo, work on timing issues, and help them internalize a clear sense of timing and tempo. This means you need a good metronome. Seiko’s Quartz metronome has a very loud and crisp beat making it easier for musicians to keep a consistent tempo among other things. It is very easy to use and is extremely compact so you can take it with ou anywhere.
